Top 10 Baseball Autographs to add to Your Collection in 2014

The 2014 baseball year is shaping up to be an exciting year.  Tons of great young talent, Triple Crown winners, and dominant pitchers.  Here are 10 baseball autographs of current players you should consider adding to your collection in 2014.

10.) David Ortiz.  A 3 x World Series Champion of the Boston Red Sox, for a team that had not one a WS title since they traded Babe Ruth.  One of the greatest Red Sox of all time.  9 x All Star and 2013 WS MVP.  Autograph is still fairly affordable.  Autographed World Series baseballs would be a great addition to a collection, especially one from the 2004 World Series.

9.) Manny Machado.  Up and coming baseball star.  GREAT fielder for the Baltimore Orioles.  2013 All Star and Gold Glove award winner.  Has huge potential to be a perennial all star.

8.) Dustin Pedroia.  Another great Red Sox.  2 x World Series Champion, 2007 AL ROY and 2008 AL MVP.  Also a Super Star at Arizona State.  His autographed World Series items, jerseys, and bats have been very popular among Red Sox fans.

7.) Justin Verlander.  Arguably baseball’s best pitcher.  Throws over 100 miles per hour.  Won the 2011 AL MVP award as a pitcher.  2006 AL ROY and 2011 World Series Champion.  His autographs are quite rare as he does very few autograph signings.  Jerseys and baseballs sell quickly, so if you see one available pick it up!

6.) Yasiel Puig.  Yes, he had an interesting off season and faded a bit during the post season.  But there is no denying the frenzy he created in LA during the regular season.  One of baseball’s top talents.  Has some great photos and bats available, Limited Edition from Panini.

5.) Clayton Kershaw.  One of baseballs best pitchers.  3 x All Star and 2 x NL CY Young award winner.  Won the pitching Triple Crown (Wins, ERA, and Strikeout Leader) in 2011.  Autograph is still very affordable.  Baseballs sell the best.

4.) Andrew McCutchenPirates 3 x All-Star and 2013 NL MVP.  Often over looked because of playing on poor teams in Pittsburgh.  Had a big break out season in 2013.   Autograph is still very affordable with baseballs and bats selling the best.

3.) Buster Posey.  A 2 x World Series Champion with the San Francisco Giants.  2010 NL ROY and 2012 NL MVP.  One of baseball’s best catchers.  Beloved in San Francisco.  Was also a Super Star at Florida State, winning the Golden Spikes Award given to college baseball’s best player.  Autograph has gone up in value in the past years.  World Series signed baseballs, bats, and jerseys always sell well.  Game Used cleats are also available.

2.) Miguel Cabrera.  2 x AL MVP, won the Triple Crown in 2012, and a World Series title with the Marlins in 2003.  Triple Crown award winners are highly collectible.  His signed baseball with the inscription TRIPLE CROWN 2012 is a fantastic collectible.

1.) Mike Trout.  He has the potential to be one of baseball’s best of all time.  Very young (22), 2012 AL ROY and should have won 2 MVP awards had it not been for Miguel Cabrera.  Autograph is increasing in value each year it seems.  All items sell well, including the sweet photo of him crashing into the wall.
